Docs Copper Socks
2001 Dark Chestnut ApHC Mare
Doctor Black (AQHA) x A Copper Penny (ApHC)
Page still under construction. Look for more new and better pictures soon! Copper will be HERDA tested in the very near future now that the test is available. She was not tested with our others as we are not breeding her this year. Joe, her full brother has tested Herda CLEAR N/N.

Copper is a full sister to our stallion Meet Joe Black and she is just as athletic and talented. Due to family health and relocation issues we have been dealing with, her training has slipped a bit and I haven't been able to work with her as much as I would like. She was coming along fantastically though, so we should be able to catch up to where we were relatively quickly.

She has a natural deep stop and a natural sharpness and quickness. She loves to do true rollbacks while she is out playing in the pen. One of her favorite activities is to run a small circle and go sliding up to the gate. In the indoor arena she loves to dig in deep on her front end in the corner and "cut" as she hits the metal with clods of dirt. Hopefully we can get some pictures of this new activity soon! We think she will be highly competitive once we get her out there competing! With Copper's natural speed we sure would like to see how she would do in the games events as well! This mare can do just about anything!
Copper in action: Photos from 01/15/05:

Once Copper has had a chance to shine in the show pen, she will be bred primarily to outside AQHA stallions in the beginning.
Our thanks to the Oermans again for breeding Copper and Ann Mantz of Iowa for allowing us to purchase her in 2001.
We get more and more excited about Copper's future performance and broodmare potential every day and hope you get to see her in action soon!
