Due to work commitments and not having a local resource, we regrettably have not been able to test freeze Joe yet. This process is still very much in our plans, so stay tuned.
Should we decide to breed your mare, we also offer discounts for show mares and 10% to Nebraska and Missouri mares. Further discounts may be available if your mare is an NRHA, NRCHA, NCHA or other event association money earner!
Contract, booking fee and copies of both sides of mare's registration papers required at time of booking.
If interested in breeding your mare to Joe through the NRHA Sire & Dam Program, please contact us with information on your mare. We participated in this program in 2005 and will do so again for the right mare! The NRHA Sire & Dam Program offers a breeding at a discount and offers significant savings for foals participating in the NRHA Futurity and Derby events!

*In the above incentive program, foal is defined as any ApHC registered horse by Meet
Joe Black not owned during the time the award is won by S&D Appaloosas or any
of its associates and not shown by S&D Appaloosas or associates to more
than 30% of total qualifying amount.
Incentive program will be paid out based on year-end calculations done by
the qualifying association and must be official and final.
Funds will be placed in a CD and will accrue interest until awarded.
Additional monies will be placed in the CD each year with a percentage of
booking fees added until the award is won.
Mares with Poco Bueno breeding must be HERDA tested prior to an agreement to book the mare to Joe. While Joe is not a carrier and cannot produce a HERDA afflicted foal, if your mare is a HERDA carrier there is a 50% chance that the foal would inherit the defect from the carrier parent and would itself be a carrier.
Mares with Impressive breeding must show documentation (through either test results or sire/dam results) of being HYPP N/N, no N/H or H/H mares will be considered
