Roxan has tested (03/07) HERDA N/N or CLEAR (click on link to view test results) and cannot ever produce a HERDA afflicted foal! Thanks to Cornell University for their outstanding work in making the test available!
Look for more new photos soon!
Below photos from 05/26/08: Roxan would agree with Ruby about the benefits of trees as scratchers, especially this one!

Roxan is one royally bred mare on top and bottom and believe she will be an outstanding cross with Joe with NCHA, Racing and NRHA money earners and producers all over her pedigree, not to mention her first 3 generations!
Roxan's sire, Roc Bar Aust, was an NCHA Money Earner and NCHA COA Earner. He is also the sire of NCHA and NRHA Money Earners. His Sire, Doc's Poco Bar was also an NCHA Money Earner and NCHA COA Earner. Roxan's Maternal Grandsire, Docs Muchacho (sired by the great Doc Quixote) was also an NCHA Money Earner and NCHA COA Earner. In addition, Docs Muchacho is the sire and grandsire of NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA money earners. Roxan has most notably, Doc Bar, Poco Gata, Magnolia Bar, Docs Muchacho, Doc Quixote and Goodbye Sam all on her papers! For more detailed information about Roxan's breeding, please see our Brood Mare Bloodlines page.
We are looking for great things out of Roxan and are certain we won't be disappointed. In addition to breeding her to Joe, we also hope to cross Roxan on some quality outside stallions with the hopes of adding some of her daughter's back into our brood mare band. Roxan bred to Joe for a 2008 foal, unfortunately she lost the foal at 90 days and is being bred back this spring for a 2009 foal.
Check out our Broodmare Bloodlines page for information on the horses in Roxan's first 5 generations.

At 19 years young, Roxan is full of energy and spunk! She has no trouble keeping up with her younger pasture mates, and they play often! It is not at all unusual to find Roxan at the head of the pack in a race around the pasture or back into the paddock. She has a lot of speed and agility even in her senior years. And, if there is one word we could use to describe Roxan it would be "classy."
Roxan is the dam of 3 Registered AQHA foals: Docs Copper Lucky a 1997 colt by CEM Swingin Doors, Peppys Goodbye Girl a 1999 Mare by Little Peppy Frost and Adios Pitapat (pictured below) a 2004 mare by Go Pitapat Zip. If you have any information about any of these foals, we would love to hear from you! We eagirly await her first App foal!
Picture below is her 2004 foal, Adios Pitapat who last we knew of was still owned by Pam and Roger Hammer of Buffalo, MO.

Special thanks to Pam and Roger Hammer of Buffalo, Missouri for allowing us to purchase Roxan. Roxan was bred and originally owned by C.L. Collins of Twenty Two Ranch in Harrison, Arkansas.
